Memorial Day!

Memorial Day!

Tomorrow is known as "Memorial Day", a day to honor the men and women who have served in the military. These men and women have made many sacrifices, including some who lost their lives. As a way to show gratitude for these hardworking men and women, we often send letters, visit memorials, host family gatherings, or participate in annual parades.

Unfortunately, many of these celebrations are no longer able to happen this year, as a result of the pandemic we are now faced with. Yet it is still important to honor all the hard work and dedication these men and women put forth. So you may be wondering how to show your appreciation despite these setbacks. To start, there are many artistic activities you can do to express your appreciation. For example, you can make posters or signs. Decorating these posters with the colors of the United States Flag shows respect for these men and women and all they have done for our country. Another option is to call loved ones or friends who have served in the military. While this may seem simple, it is an act of appreciation for those people in your life. Another option is to dedicate a post on a social media platform to these men and women. Sometimes all it takes a simple, "Thank you". To sum it up, there are many ways to celebrate and show how much we appreciate these men and women.

There is no right way to celebrate, which is why it is important we all take part in celebrating. You don't need expensive items to make this day special, all you need is a heart full of love and gratitude.

  1. An inspiring piece! Gratitude is among the most beautiful expressions of emotion. It opens the hearts of the giver and the receiver.
